2021 Trillium Curling Camp Cancellation

It is with much regret that we are forced to announce that the 2021 edition of the Trillium Curling Camp will be cancelled due to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The recent government announcement concerning summer camps does not provide enough information for us to be sure that we can run a safe, quality camp nor do the reopening stages allow us time to plan the camp in an adequate time frame.

Our planning committee has considered a number of options to allow the camp to run, including a day camp, however we feel that the risk of possible exposure is too great and will have a serious impact on the overall camp experience that Trillium campers have come to expect. Something as relatively simple as feeding our campers under current conditions comes with many required safeguards that have a serious financial impact. We feel this is the most responsible action to keep you and our staff safe as society emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is not the announcement we were hoping to have to make for a second year in a row. Our staff is missing the camp and all of you very much. We were all excited about getting back at it but your safety and experience are our priorities.

There will be camp communications throughout the summer and into the fall on social media and our website as well as through our mailing list and we hope you’ll choose to engage with some of the things we have coming up.   We are very grateful for your support and enthusiasm towards the camp and look forward to keeping in touch.
